The Last Girl by Nick Twist

The author cheekily signs his own review with his last name — Twist. But calling this book merely a “twist” would be an understatement. It grips you from the very first page and doesn’t let go until the final line. Each chapter left me agog, stunned by the sentences that closed them. More than once I had to check whether I was slipping into some kind of hallucination.

Want a dip into another world? Is your own getting a bit boring and you need a break? Then grab this book ASAP and let your mind sink into it. And remember: as you sink, stay in sync with the author — because his writing really does live up to his last name.
