How are female friendships affected by men’s preferences?

Why should we be so concerned about the perspectives of our spouses over our friendships? Why should we be so anxious about their acceptance of our friendships, even female friendships?

This choking feeling of not being ourselves, and of even having to be mindful around our best pals because of our spouses, is a sample of the still-prevailing boxing of a misogynistic society.
